If you’re looking for an album to make driving around the city more enjoyable or something to blast at a party, Sia’s We Are Born gives you the funky beats and a soulful-yet-poppy voice to accomplish both.  Her songs are contagious, and I think we’ll be seeing a lot of Sia in the near future.

Update:  After some research, I have found “You’ve Changed” has a great music video.  Enjoy it here!

Like LeBron James, Chipper Jones was a number one draft pick for a struggling team who electrified a franchise and city.  Chipper has stayed for twenty years now, and although he only has one ring to his name, he leaves a hero.  While LeBron’s decision might ultimately be the best for him, he’s never going to be a true hero again, and it’s a shame for Cleveland to lose someone who could’ve made the entire city a better place.

Childish Gambino - I'm On It (Culdesac)

This is off Donald Glover’s new album Culdesac.  Yes, the dude from Derrick Comedy and NBC’s “Community” raps.  And he does it well.  Glover gives us some of the funniest, most creative lyrics over unique and bold beats.  At times, he goes hard, and others he gives us  honest look into the life of an up-and-coming writer, actor, and comedian.  It’s not about his tough life on the streets and how he overcame adversity, but about being a black kid in a predominantly white school, or the influence Tina Fey had on his life.  Different than what you typically hear, but definitely worth a listen.

Today, devastated. Truly Gutted.  It wasn’t the way I thought it would or should end, but the Yanks were undone today by a young, physical Ghana side.  I’m disappointed and saddened.  But when I look back on this World Cup, I’m not going to remember the weakness of the back four and the lack of discipline, but the resiliency of a team that couldn’t buy a goal from the referees.  I’ll remember them holding England scoreless for 86 minutes. And I’ll remember a heart-stopping goal from Landon Donovan that sent the nation into a soccer frenzy.  Today, I’m pretty broken up about it, but tomorrow I’ll just start getting excited about Brazil 2014.
